Meet Kalani Millsaps, co-founder of One of Us. Growing up in Seal Beach, California, Kalani was always on the move—if she didn’t have a book in her hand, you could probably find her playing with a ball. She explored every sport she could, from tennis and basketball to softball, volleyball, golf, and soccer. Eventually, she focused on soccer and softball, which she still plays recreationally and she recently rediscovered her love for golf. The friendships she’s formed through sports remain among her most treasured connections.

Beyond her passion for sports, Kalani has a wealth of experience across many industries. She spent nine years as a server while attending college and law school and also worked in the action sports industry handling marketing and PR for brands like Quiksilver and Roxy. She currently litigates workers' compensation cases for professional sports teams.

One of Us is the culmination of Kalani’s dream—a sports bar where women’s sports take center stage. Frustrated by the lack of spaces consistently showcasing women’s games (with sound!), she envisioned a place where fans could gather without needing to request a channel change, free from judgment or heckling, and feel an instant sense of belonging.
